About the Discovery Report for Personal Preferences at Work

Introduction The Gatehouse Discovery Report—the foundation of the Gatehouse Discovery System™—was developed in the United Kingdom and is used around the world in more than 20 languages.  More than 500,000 people have completed the evaluator preferences.

Background.   Based on the powerful work of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, the Discovery Report is the result of hundreds of thousands of hours of research and development.  The Discovery Report has a powerful track record in some of the most effective and productive organizations around the world—including businesses, governments, and not-for-profits. More information about Jung's work as well as the statistical validation of this tool is available on request.

Purpose  Discovery Reports are designed to help organizations and individuals increase their productivity, communications, and successful relationships within organizations as well as with customers.

Our coaching and training sessions using these reports are designed to match the needs not just of the organization but also of every person who participates.   By sharing a common approach at both the individual and team levels, groups develop a common language, a common understanding and individual commitment to taking action.

The heart of the system is the Preference Evaluator, a 15 minute on-line evaluation which generates a personal Discovery Report. The report is discussed and explained during an individual coaching session. Depending on the performance challenges, the program can include a variety of workshops, on-going coaching, and facilitated meetings, as well as other custom solutions.

Organization The standard management report has three sections:

The report comes in several sections, allowing customization to your organization's needs. Many clients choose to use a focus on management or communications or sales…and then add sections during follow-up training. In addition to those listed above, sections on Effective Selling, Personal Achievement, and Interviews may be added to all or selected reports.
